Our STAFF

There are many things about DaySpring that make it unique in the behavioral health industry. From its inception, the goal was to create an atmosphere where professionals would be treated well and given the opportunity to grow in their knowledge and experience. Many people have come to work for DaySpring from other places where the mentality was to drive the staff to productivity standards or risk being fired. The anxiety produced in that environment can be enormous. That is the reason we put into place a pay system that is driven off of each individuals' productivity. Your pay is based on how hard you are willing to work, not what the company DEMANDS that you work. Our system of flexibility is continually rated the best feature of our company by our employees.

DaySpring believes in quality supervision of the professional staff. We have separate administrative functions of supervision from the clinical quality aspects of supervision by creating two different positions in each region; the Regional Director (Administrative) and the Regional Clinical Supervisor (Clinical). The Regional Clinical Supervisor meets for individual supervision, training and team supervision. Our team supervision is based upon a "peer supervision" model. There are no supervisors or experts in team meetings to dictate how treatment should be provided.

Instead, we expect each member to help each other with their ideas and observations as peers staff cases. Our experience of experts in team meetings is that clinicians give lip service to what the experts say and then do what they think is correct anyway. We believe that more brains operating to share ideas is more powerful than only one.

Our company performs a variety of clinical services, and there are different qualifications to perform them. To be hired as a therapist, an individual must have at least a Masters Degree in a mental health or mental health related field. This degree must meet the minimal standards to be in the licensing process as either a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or a Licensed Behavioral Practioneer (LBP). An applicant must be graduated and approved to be in the licensing process before they can begin working. All applicants undergo a credentialing process prior to starting work which includes background checks and primary source verification of your education.
